Garry Wilsom, EndlessDavid Bryan, CEO, BM&T

David Bryan is a founder of BM&T, an award winning cross-border turnaround and restructuring boutique. A Chartered Accountant, he has worked in industry since qualifying and for many years and led a plc M&A team. He has operated at board level in upper mid-market and SME companies in the UK, US and Europe in sectors including automotive supply, commercial vehicle manufacture, industrial systems and various B2B services. Founded in 2008, BM&T was the driving force behind the ERS turnaround and restructuring network in Europe and has been affiliated with Conway MacKenzie in North America for 10 years.

Myles Halley, RcapitalMyles Halley, Chairman, Rcapital

Myles has been involved with business restructuring and turnaround since the early 1980s, he is widely regarded as one of the UK’s most respected business transformation experts. For 30 years Myles was a senior partner and board member at KPMG where he led the UK mid-market restructuring team.

Myles joined Rcapital in 2011 as Chairman to provide leadership and guidance when considering both new opportunities and assisting with current investments. He provides valuable insight and direction in his role of Chairman on a number of Portfolio investments.

In addition to his role at Rcapital, Myles acts as Chairman and investor in several large SMEs nationally. Drawing on a broad range of experiences, Myles regularly speaks at conferences on turnaround investment and growth strategies.

Christopher HartChristopher Hart, Commercial Director, BNP Paribas Commercial

Chris has over 30 years’ experience in the finance sector, first as a corporate banker and, for the last 14 years in Asset Based Lending, with a particular focus on international solutions.

Having worked for a number of names in the industry, Chris joined BNP Paribas Commercial Finance in 2014 and now heads up the UK Sales Team, funding both domestic situations and, as part of a very large multinational organisation, assisting with cross border funding needs.

Away from work, Chris, a keen football fan, is a supporter of Wigan Athletic and is kept busy running a taxi service for his kids!

Alain Le BerreAlain Le Berre, President, Alpaha Corporate Finance 

Alain has 24 years of broad-ranging experience with a focus on the following areas: Financial and Debt Restructuring, Operational Restructuring / Operational Improvements, Debt Advisory, Accelerated M&A, Litigation Advisory, Family Office and Private Equity advisory, Non-Executive Board advisory and Board membership.

His prior positions had included investment banking, financial and strategic consulting, private equity as well as operational management roles, CFO position and non-executive directorships A French national based in Switzerland, Alain has worked and lived 8 years in Germany, 6 years in the City of London and is perfectly fluent in all 3 languages.

Tim NicholsonTim Nicholson, Director, Debt Advisory, KPMG

Tim is a senior Director within KPMG's Debt Advisory business having advising companies for 17 years on developing and executing financing strategies.

Tim leads the team’s practice focusing on ‘special sits’ type opportunities which typically involves helping businesses access funding to navigate periods of strategy or market changes, deliver turnarounds from financial stress and/or put in place new funding structures with different lenders.

Tim has helped borrowers across a wide array of sectors to access the full spectrum of financing markets (bank, DCM, leveraged, asset based structured, intuitional, direct lending) and products (from super senior to hybrid capital).

With more than 20 years of restructuring experience, he has worked extensively on ‘in court’ and ‘out of court’ restructurings/refinancings, intercreditor agreement disputes, formal insolvency appointments, high-yield bond and CMBS bond restructurings, distressed M&A, English schemes of arrangement, US Chapter 11s and s363 sales, pension deficits, insurance workouts, telecoms, and insolvency aspects of structured finance.

Richard has acted across the capital structure for all the key stakeholders including corporates, lenders, bondholder/lender formal and ad hoc committees, creditors, shareholders, private equity sponsors, distressed debt investors and asset purchasers, directors, security trustees, administrators and liquidators.

Richard has particular cross border restructuring experience involving the UK, Europe, the US and across the globe.

Vincent VroomVincent Vroom, Partner, Loyens & Loeff N.V.

Vincent Vroom, attorney at law, specialises in financial restructurings and insolvency. He handles a range of issues in restructuring transactions whether they arise within the courtroom or outside. Vincent also advises on cross-border financing and has gained broad experience in (structured) finance transactions. He headed the London office of Loyens & Loeff from 2014 until mid-2018.
